The first Centurion - 1 nears completion
The Weldmart Centurion-1 which has been a year in design and development is rapidly nearing delivery of the first production machine.
This conversion of a Lincoln SA-200, SA-250 and SA-300 machines was inspired by the need for an affordable diesel Lincoln welder which fully complies with the new EPA Tier 4 requirements. In addition to Tier 4 compliance, the Centurion - has many outstanding features:
- The conversion includes a Kohler diesel engine with a new engine 3 year warranty. Perkins and Kubota only offer 2 year warranties and only at their service centers.
- The Kohler engine is air cooled. In water cooled engines, 40% of the failures are cooling system related.
- There are hundreds of repair and service centers world wide for the Kohler engine.
- The Centurion-1 features automatic low oil pressure, high temperature shutdown and automatic idle control.
- The Centurion-1 uses compression release engine shutdown to prevent shock to the armature at shutdown.
- Maintenance is easy. A complete engine overhaul does not require removal of the engine from the welder. An engine can be removed and replaced in less than 3 hours.
- Fuel economy will help your profits. The Centurion-1 will use an estimated 2 - 2 1/2 gallons of diesel fuel in an 8 hour shift.
