The information below will help you identify Lincoln brushes used in Lincoln engine-drive welders. Please note that our brushes are identical to Lincoln OEM, and all our brushes are made in the USA!

SA-200 Exciter Brush - "Narrow"

SA-200 Below Code Number 7700 Lincoln (P/N: T-6968). Commonly called a "narrow brush." Found in "round-barrel" machines.

3/8" thick x 5/8" wide x 1--1/4" long

Your machine has two exciter brushes, and we recommend that you keep a spare set at all times.


wide brush for Lincoln SA-200 welding machines

SA-200 Exciter Brush - "Wide"

SA-200 Above Code Number 7700 Lincoln (P/N: T-7554). Commonly called a "wide brush." Found in "hex-barrel machines." This brush is also found in SA-250/SA-300/SAE-400 with 1 KW DC exciters.

1/2" thick x 5/8" wide x 1--1/4" long

Your machine has two of these brushes, and we recommend that you keep a spare set at all times.


main brush for Lincoln SA-200 welding machines

Main Brush for SA-200/250 Classic and 300D Machines

Main Welder Brush for all Lincoln SA-200, SA-250, Classic 1, 2, 3 (P/N: T-2687).

1/2" thick x 1-1/2" wide x 1-3/4" long

Your machine has eight of these brushes, and we recommend that you keep a spare set at all times.


AC (3KVA) Exciter Brush for SA-250, SAE-300, SAE-400, CLASSIC 1, 2,3, & 300D Machines

Below code number 8900 Lincoln (P/N: T-12881 or T-14875, these brushes are interchangable).


Main Brush for SAE-300

Main welder brush for all Lincoln SA and SAE 300 (P/N: T-344).

5/8" thick x 1-1/2" wide x 1-3/4" long

Seater Stone

New brushes must be beveled and concaved to conform as closely as practical to the curvature of the communicator (DC) or slip-ring (AC). The seating stone is a non-conductive stone (NEVER USE EMERY OR ANY SYNTHETIC OXIDE TO SEAT BRUSHES!) that is pressed lightly on the communicator near the leading edge of the brush.
