The PT-31 & 31 XL® plasma torch is Esab's answer for a compact, low cost "gas cooled" torch, 10 to 50 amps cutting current. Esab says that this torch will cut 3/4", severs one inch, our opinion is that this is pushing the limits of an otherwise excellent torch. You will find this torch on the L-Tec PCM-VPi, PCM-SMi/32i/82i, PCM-500i, PCM-875, & PCM-1125.
NOTE: If you have a PT-31 AM and are unhappy with consumable cost or you wish to upgrade to a machine torch with 100+ cutting current consider the Alpha Machine torch. For more information click HERE!
NOTE: If you have a PT-31 and need to replace the cutting head, we offer an updated PT-31 head that does not require the plunger (P/N:20324) or the replaceable seat (19679) all the original Esab OEM parts (and cable assemblies) work perfectly with this updated head. For more information click HERE!
