MILLERMATIC® 35 & 35S MIG GUN UPGRADE PAGE
The Millermatic 35-S was the original Miller composite (wire feeder and power supply in a single cabinet) mig machine. It would be safe to say this machine clearly established Miller as the leader of Mig welding industry in the US. The rest of the industry followed in order. There are hundreds (maybe thousands?) of the 35S and it's successor, the Millermatic 200's still in service today. The original machine came out in 1971 (S/N: 71-561033) and was produced until 1976 (S/N: HG084032). The Millermatic 35 was it's successor, it started the now famous Miller gun power pin and plug.
The original mig gun was the Millermatic something (Miller cannot tell me what the name of the gun was!). The gun had an internal gas valve, there was no need for an internal gas solenoid. Personally I always liked the idea, but it never caught on in the US. Miller has nothing for the Miller 35S.
