OTC MIG BOY FILLER WIRE INFO.

NOTE: This page contains basic information on the Daihen (OTC) wire. In case nobody ever told you, when you buy the WGT-43 Mig gun you are locked, at the wallet to Daihen! All their filler materials are wound on OEM style plastic spools. At this time, to the best of knowledge, there is no "aftermarket"  filler material suppliers, for this gun. The WGT-43 was designed to be light, it was originally designed to weld not only aluminum and stainless steel, but small diameter carbon steel. A standard 4" spool of steel wire weights two pounds, add that to the weight of a standard spool gun (plus the weight of the cables) and this rig will feel like a hundred pound dumbbell at the end of the day. Needless to say a 2.5 pound spool gun has this one big advantage.

When you buy the MIG-BOY® spool gun you can only buy welding sire from OTC! You must buy wire from OTC on the OTC proprietary spool. The gun will now accept the standard 4” spool!
OTC brings these spools in from Japan and the wire is wound in the US-if they run out of spool-you are hung out to dry! With the all the Weldmart spool guns you can buy wire at any welding supply!
Steel wires come with two pounds of wire per spool, aluminum wires have one pound of wire on each spool.
NOTE: the most common wire used in channel letter welding is 4043-0.025. You can save an average of NINE DOLLARS A POUND every time you buy wire. For every one-hundred spool of wire buy on standard spools; you put $900.00 back on your bottom line. Run the numbers-how much money are you throwing away with your OTC Mig-Boy gun??????
